Day 1
Off on another adventure with Kevin, Diana, Karen and Kim, who is joining us this year! We stopped for lunch in the Calgary airport Chili’s after getting through security. I had my last hamburger for the next two weeks 🙂 .
Royal Dutch Airlines left at 15:10 and arrived in Amsterdam at 8:05 September 25 – our flying time was 9 hours. We explored Amsterdam airport while waiting for our flight to Basel, Switzerland which left at 12:35 arriving at 1:50 – the flight was 1:15 hours. After picking up the luggage we were off to the ship…first stop the lounge for a drink before checking in and heading to our rooms to unpack! Then back to the lounge at 6:00 for the welcome reception and our first daily port talk with the Cruise Director Simon. After dinner in the Crystal Dinning room we were back to the lounge with live music from the on board musician David.
