We left for Mesquite today, where we will meet up with Karen and Jade for one last night. Tomorrow Carmen and I will head straight north getting into snow country while Karen and Jade will veer northwest to White Rock. Karen went off to Burrow Creek with Georgina and Ray for the day while Carmen and I stopped at Chloride. It’s a town, 3.7 miles off the highway that we have often passed and where I have always wanted to stop. We discovered it’s a place we definitely need to go back to, to wander the historic streets and to search for petroglyphs around the Murals painted Roy Purcell in1966 (repainted 2006) in the hills near Chloride.
